About us

Hi, I am Daniel. I am originally from Portugal and now based in Aarhus, Denmark.

I started Arca in 2021 with a simple idea: to give a name and an identity to the bags I was making for myself and a few close friends. Arca became the platform where I document my sewing experiments and turn them into real products that can be used on and off the bike.

Most of what I make are bike and off‑bike bags with a strong focus on quality, function, and simple design. I like clean shapes, smart details, and colours that bring a bit of joy to everyday commuting and long days outside :).

In 2024, I moved to Aarhus to work as a structural engineer, and Arca is where I spend some of my free time: cutting fabric, testing ideas on my own bikes, and slowly building a small brand that feels personal and honest.

In 2025 Eduardo joined Arca to help with go‑to‑market planning, invoicing, and the million small tasks that keep a tiny business moving forward. Together we have plenty of ideas for the future of Arca. Because we both have full‑time jobs, things move a little slower than we would like, but every order and every message keeps us pushing.
